Please give us an HD version for the iPad!!! I seriously love playing this game.
I initially hated the demo but once you get used to the fact that troops cross paths on roads without fighting its a really addictive game. Its like a five dollar version of advanced wars. One thing that I find aggravating is that by buying the app you get a story mode and bonus maps adding up to 22 maps. Then, once you are addicted there are in app purchases of additional maps of two for a dollar. The addons shouldnt cost more than the game.
A very fun game when you get the feel for it, I think they should rebalance all the heroes stats, like I dont know why you would ever want to cripple yourself by picking viola. She has no attack points and Surprisingly she doesnt even have the strongest defense points either, thats my only concern
This game is very nicely put together. Believe it or not my fav character is Viola shes best at troops and extra stuff and shes very good with many troops. I win all the time with her second would be Zelgius hes very good too. I beat campaign easily but it did take quite a while give it a chance you will love it. Oh adding a multiplayer would be nice! PEACE!
Im not a big strategic games player and I didnt do really well on my first few attempts, but after a while I got really addicted and now Ive been getting Rank S on Harder Mode. Awesome game despite the simpe system and graphics. But I need more free maps :(
Lots of fun to play had a hard time beating the last level (But I did =D)! Good storyline kind of saw the ending coming but still tons of fun to play.
Ive been playing this game over and over for the last 2 years and I dont get sick of it. I would love to see a sequel with new levels.
really great real time strategy game.
This is a great 5-star game with a great story line
I really like this game, despite the level becoming difficult really fast. Great storyline, too! Hope to see a sequel or something
Ive played this game for 2 years now, and I have to play on the hardest setting to get a good challenge (campaign is too easy for me at least) That being said, Ive gotten full stars in every scenario except the new one, which I have yet to beat (even on normal!) So to sum up - great game, challenging even after mastering
Great game so fun love the campaign and free play pls make multiplayer though! Thank u for adding maps after the campaign! Make a second hills rivers and remains Ill buy every one u make!
This a strategy game and its very fun to play
I bought this game years ago and finally picking it up again feels great. The game should have 1)multiplayer 2)the option to use the maps I bought a while ago instead of paying again. Other than that its a must have strategy game.
I bought this game when it came out in 2009, I played it for a while but stopped because I was frustrated with the last level lol. Anyways, today I saw it in my games and decided to start all over and play it again. Although, it just took me a day to finish I thought it was great! The characters are all beautiful, the story line is predictable but it sends a good message, the stages can take 30 minutes to complete(wonderful), and I live free mode! The ending is open so a sequel would be nice, and it would be great to see a multiplayer. It was worth every penny!!! Still challenging even when mastered, I love this game!
Its a lot of fun as the gameplay is great but a) is a little expensive since it b) only has 10 levels of campaign, a lot less play time than a lot of apps out there on the app store. Also needs an update for iPhone 5 support.
Overview: Fun gameplay, but short, extremely quick-paced story, no multiplayer. Paying for more maps is ridiculous. While the difficulty increases VERY quickly after the second story mode stage, the fun also increases. In the very late stages, I found myself in a frenzy, trying to bring myself back from an incoming loss. The penalty for mistakes during the later parts of each stage is either a struggled recovery or loss, though the game allows you to increase your amount of starting troops in a stage if you lose. While the story mode gameplay may be unforgiving of mistakes, it doesnt demand true perfection, as several ways to win exist. No stage plays out exactly like an earlier attempt. My major issue was that the plot threw as many twists as it could at you in the middle of the game, leaving me wondering what had just happened. After that, there wasnt much else there. The story is incredibly short, which is inexcusable based on this game being made by Square. Splitting this into many shorter missions instead of leaving it as a very small number would have been better. Even with my complaints, I would still like to see a sequel, and preferably a multiplayer mode. A co-op option for some story stages would be impractical, but great, as often my AI ally always sends his troops on suicide attacks. A multiplayer battle mode is self-explanatory, though with some matches lasting 20-30 minutes I understand why it wasnt put in. Some people would play it, though, and I believe those people should be catered to. As for the in-app purchases, they are all extra maps for the free play mode. Each costs 0.99, and gives you two more maps. This is the most frustrating thing Square did in this game, considering the price of the app itself. Free mode does make things more interesting, but paying the apps price a second time to unlock more maps is unnecessary and a mistake on the developers part. If you read to this point, I would recommend this game, but only if you appreciate a challenge and will keep playing after the story ends.
I love this game everything about it is perfect now all it needs is a sequel and multiplayer!
Quietly the best square Enix game on the App Store. Please make a sequel and an iPad version!
